split frontend from backend
Maybe we should split the frontend and backend. Thsi raises the question what is part aof the backend and what is not.
Backend:
- metrics endpoint
but what about hooks? Since the hooks don't use the webinterface, they can be considered as part of the backend. But one maybe wants to send out a mail, when a new node is discovered. Then the hook needs to run on a mail server that is maybe not part of the mesh network. In this case, hooks would be part of the frontend.
Frontend:
- Web pages
